My reflection: Orlando Massacre

Today is the first anniversary of the massacre and terror attack in Pulse nightclub, a gay night club in Orlando Florida. Which killed 49 people and hurt 100 more. The fact that it happen during pride month make it more hurtful. This is a hate crime, a crime to make people feel hurt and bad about themselves.

Like what happened during 9/11 I remember where and where I heard the news and I hatted every bit of it. I was at home readying to go to bed when I first saw a post about a night club attack on the internet, and it turn out to be a gay club, my stomach turn in many different places i felt paralyze. My first reaction is wow, I could not believe what I was reading.

The next couple of days I was shock not by what happened but the reaction to what happened. Conservatives are blaming the muslim community for the actions of one some of them are blaming the victims. Liberals are blaming all but themselves. The super fast pace of everything that happened to the gay community, Isn’t it ironic that we just gotten same sex marriage the year before then the year after we have this. This is hard for others to handle this kind of change.

As a liberal and as a person who is identifying as queer it is really hard for me to wrap my brain around what happened in Orlando last year. It so hard for people to understand these are like your brothers or sisters even if you did not know their name. You know them by heart because in many ways you are them.

Lastly, I just want to say my still deepest condolences to the people of Orlando and to the families and people who have been affected with this horrible tragedy one year ago today. THIS DAY JUNE 12, 2016 WILL BE IN MY MEMORY FOREVER.

The conservative argument for LGBT equality

RAINBOW

The other day I saw a picture on Facebook of a men wearing a t-shirt with a statement and it reads: only God can judge me written in rainbow printed letters. So I asked myself if god is the only one who can judge gay people. So why are they (the republican party) judging LGBT people. Here are some of the right arguments that they should think about before adhering to the ‘conservative’ argument.

First Republicans are for limited government, right? No not really, for tax cuts for the rich yeah which is wrong but for the poor and for the marginalize, no. Take abortion for instance they got no business invading the privacy of women who want to have an abortion, Privacy duh!

Lets go back to gay and transgender people the government has no business telling people who to marry and the bathroom they use. According to the limited government argument which you love so dearly that we should mind our own business. It really seem to me that the republican party wants that if it is convenient for them and theirs.

Second argument is the what I would call the Christian argument I do not care about what Leviticus has to say about gay people. I am very interested what Jesus would say or do. Jesus Christ is a good person, he is not an asshole and he is also a hippy, right! I think he would say they it is not a choice and that my father made them this way, So when you judge your brother, my brother you are judging our father on how he made them.

Here are two of the arguments I use for conservatives So that they can be really free of people who are wrong about the LGBT community and their families and friends.

The relationship between Gay men and Straight women

The show Will and Grace’ portrayal of the gay men and straight women relationship makes for a very funny sitcom. But In real life the relationship between gay men and straight women got people through tough times, like the societal oppression of straight men. In this article I will be writing about why the hags love their fags, and a little bit of psychology of how the dynamic actually works.
Unlike the friendship a straight men and straight women which people often assume that they are dating. And when it never happens the friendship will get sour, therefore braking up the relationship. Secondly when those two people are not clear on what their relationship is for example the guy wants a romantic relationship and the girl does not want one there will be a riff between those two.

There is nothing like that of the fags and their hags, because their’s an understanding that romance will not happen. So they both know that the relationship is very much platonic. They can just focus on their relationship, and whether or not a shirt fits them and stuff like that.

The other thing about that is very special about this relationship is that gay men, straight women relationships is often than not build on liking the same things. I do not want the stereotype here but there is something true about the notion that gay men and straight women are a like in more ways than one they both like and admire strong women.

Clearly, the friendship between straight women and gay men is a very special one. Gay men and straight women has gone to a lot of troubles and tribulations true out the decades, straight women often nurse gay men through the AIDS epidemic. But as gay rights movement began to gain wins, there will come a time that the only thing that a gay men need is a friend, and just a friend.
